Waterloo, Iowa - Waters from this year's record-breaking floods deposited a record-breaking amount of sand at the River View Off-highway Park in Waterloo, Iowa. Portions of the parking lot and park were covered under an excess of five feet of sand in places.

Permanent Blinds No Longer Allowed on the Iowa Side of the Mississippi River Pools 14 and 15

BRIGHTON – The Iowa Department of Natural Resources will be enforcing rules in September that ban permanent duck hunting blinds from the Iowa side of the Mississippi River Pools 14 and 15, and require duck decoys be removed from the area between one hour after sunset until midnight of each day.
