The laws governing the operation of all-terrain vehicles, off-road motorcycles and all-terrain utility vehicles
will be changing effective July 1, 2008.
The Iowa OHV Association in partnership with the Iowa DNR has recently added an OHV Park Hotline to keep the public up-to-date on park closings and park issues throughout the state. The number is 515/281-8385. The information on this hotline will be the most up-to-date and accessible to the public 24 hours a day.

Class Size: Limited to 10 Students
Additional Information: Successful completion of this course will earn the student an education certificate required to operate an ATV at Iowa's OHV parks. Riders between the ages of 12 and 17 are required to have this education certificate. There is a $25 fee that will be collected at the class. Please pay by check or money order made payable to DNR with ATV class in the memo line.
Each student is required to provide his or her own ATV which is properly registered and will be required to wear proper safety gear – helmet with face shield or goggles, long-sleeve shirt, long pants, and over-the-ankle boots. Gloves are recommended; any other equipment is optional.
